Knorhoek Wines of Stellenbosch
Knorhoek winery
If the Knorhoek Valley has captured your senses – from the Simonsberg that creates a natural amphitheatre behind the estate to the sounds of country life – then it remains for us to give you a taste of the terroir with our range of Knorhoek wines as well as the Namysto range.
Knorhoek used to be one large farm, consisting of both Quoin Rock (our sister wine farm) and Knorhoek land. In 1998, the previous owners subdivided Knorhoek and sold the portion now known as Quoin Rock. In 2012, the Gaiduk family bought Quoin Rock from its previous owner and acquired Knorhoek in 2019. Winemaker Schalk Opperman now makes both the Knorhoek and Quoin Rock wines, and Nico Walters heads up the vineyards at both wine farms.
Knorhoek wines of Stellenbosch
The Knorhoek range consists of three wines
Knorhoek Méthode Cap Classique (MCC); Wine of Origin: Western Cape
Knorhoek Cabernet Sauvignon; Wine of Origin: Stellenbosch
Knorhoek Chenin Blanc; Wine of Origin: Stellenbosch
Situated on the Simonsberg, it goes without saying that we produce a bold Cabernet. Our crisp Chenin Blanc comes from old, well-established vines on the farm, and our Méthode Cap Classique is the perfect celebration in a glass.
